The free Pre-School Year in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programme was introduced in January 2010.

The Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme provides a free year of early childhood care and education for children of pre-school age which is subsided by the government. Children are eligible for the ECCE scheme if they are aged over 2 years 8 months and less than 4 years 7 months on 1 September of the year that they will be starting.

The normal pattern for the free pre-school year is 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, over 38 weeks in the year. All associated administration (Including transfers from other creche facilities) is carried out by Gullivers on behalf of parents. Presently, we have three separate classrooms providing the ECCE service.

Our ECCE program runs Monday to Friday from 9:30am – 12:30pm or 2pm – 5pm. The program is aimed to get children used to a school routine and have a seemless integration into primary school.

To avail of the scheme through Gullivers Childcare, please register your interest at info@gulliverstrim.ie or contact our office for further information on 046-9438404 . Early booking essential to avoid disappointment.
